Speaking cards

This document includes 224 speaking cards divided into 28 pages and a empty template to create your own set of questions. Along them, 14 different topics are treated, the ones that usually compose the English as a Foreign Language curriculum. Therefore, you will find 16 questions about each of the following topics:

• Animals
• Holidays
• Family
• Food
• House
• Jobs
• Means of transport
• Sports
• Technology
• Hobbies
• Health
• Environment
• Education and studies
• Personal identity

You can use these cards at different levels, as there are questions that are easier to answer while others require a deeper process of reasoning. These cards can be used to create a speaking lesson or as a way of speaking assessment. I usually combine both. We work the cards in class and then, in the speaking exam, each student picks a card and explains the answer.
